OUR PROCESS

Each invitation suite designed by The Faire Market is handcrafted and designed in-house. We are focused on every detail, from the quality of our cotton and linen papers to the design elements on every invite. 

We typically allocate 8-12 weeks for the complete design process, and tell each couple to start ordering their custom invitations at least 4-6 months prior to their wedding day (or longer if using outside vendors for custom calligraphy work). For Save-the-Dates, couples should plan on ordering at least 8 months in advance.


Step 1: Consultation

We want to meet you in person! After reaching out to us, we set up a date to meet so that we can get an idea of your style and vision for your wedding day.


Step 2: Contract & Initial Payment

After the consultation, we'll create an initial proposal with the price estimate of your custom invitation suite. We'll email a copy of that proposal to you, along with a contract that you will sign before the design process starts. As soon as we have received the signed contract and emailed your final invoice to you, an initial payment of 50% down is due within one week of the sign date.


Step 3: Designing Starts

Once we have received and processed your first payment, the designing begins! As soon as the first round of design work is finished, we will mail you a proof of your entire collection so you can see and feel it in person. This proof will arrive in the mail within 7-10 days from the time we start designing.

Once we have your blessing on the design work, the process of crafting the rest of your invitations begins. Not in love with something on your invitation suite? No worries- we allow up to three complimentary design edits so that the final product is everything you hoped and dreamed it would be!


Step 4: Final Payment Due

Before printing the entirety of your collection, we'll send you an approval form for your signature to sign off on the design work. Once that approval has been received, the remaining total balance is due within one week.


Step 5: Invitations Finalized and Shipped to Bride

As soon as the remaining balance is received, we get to work on finishing the entire wedding collection. For additional add-ons or charges, we'll send a separate invoice to be paid immediately in full, and work to wrap up everything smoothly for the big day!

Once all design work is finalized, we then carefully wrap the invitations in cellophane and bubble wrap and ship complimentary to your door.


Please remember that our artwork is handcrafted and the elements we work with (paper, fabric, paint, etc.) are sourced from vendors that we ethically value and trust. Because of our attention to detail and craftsmanship, we honor the necessary time and effort put into each custom piece.
